As a 3-time combat veteran, Andrew Lee (AKA The CombatQuilter) knows the healing power of making and receiving quilts. Join Andrew for an action-packed retreat at the beautiful Dogwood Exchange, 4950 Hwy 127 S Crossville, TN. The project for this retreat is the gorgeous “Radiance” Pattern. (Guests may also bring their own project if they still wish to attend.)
Crossville is 1.5 hours from Nashville Airport and 1.25 hours from Knoxville Airport. Crossville offers beautiful scenery, the Cumberland County Playhouse and rich history. Dogwood Exchange is located on 12 acres in the Historic “Homesteads” district and our property neighbors The Cumberland Mountain State Park. Our retail store, also located on the property is one of the original 250 stone homes built during this 1930’s work initiative by Eleanor Roosevelt.
Guests may begin arriving on Monday, April 14th at 2:00 CST. Those interested are invited to a private 4:00 CST shopping appointment at Grandma’s House, one of our local fabric stores. They have graciously offered a 10% discount along with grab bags and special pricing on select items to retreat guests during this appointment.
Monday’s dinner will be provided by The Flyjng Pig. (pulled pork, two sides, banana pudding and tea) All other meals are on your own. Our cabin and barn both offer full kitchens for your use.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday guests will sew until their hearts are content. We are confident you will make memories that you will tell your friends about for years to come.
Our large log cabin offers two full bathrooms and sleeps 8. Each of the two bedrooms are 24”x24” and sleeps 4 dormitory style. The “barn” houses three bedrooms with double occupancy, a full bathroom and kitchen.
Design boards, cutting stations and ironing stations are provided. The fee for this 4 night/3 full day retreat is $400 and is limited to 12 guests.
